Lettre du 13 décembre 1585 (de Rome): "Serenissimo Gran Duca, Padrone e Signore mio perpetuo, mando con questo procaccio a Vostra Altezza Serenissima drento a uno scatolino alcune medaglie greche, capricciose e belle et anco uno Cupidino con le ali, antico, di bonissimo maestro, tutto in segno di riverenza e continua devozione, ch'io le porto e portarò sempre mentre che averò vita.
