Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-Letter of 21 Nov. 1647 (from Florence to Padua): "Iterum interim Passignianum sum allocutus, impetravique ut denuo mihi copiam faceret inspiciendi scriniola illa, quae simul vidimus; sed expectanda erit dies, qua minus a laboriosissimo suo munere impediatur ut liberius vacare possimus illis denotandis quae posset. In hoc opere Datium nostrum mihi comitem adiunxi, quo citius numerentur et describantur, et hoc propinquiori arrepta occasione procul dubio fiet; suscitaborque insuper an mitiori ill[ ] pretio emptori sit concessurus, suadeboque; si locus dabitur ac de omnibus ad te commodim rescribam" (Meanwhile I have spoken with Passignano, and I asked that he should at last offer me the opportunity of inspecting the little boxes, which we looked at at the same time. But the day will have to wait, on which he is less encumbered with his very substantial business so that we can have more free time to take note of what he may have. For that work I will add Dati as my companion, and this will certainly be done when the next possible occasion arises. I will also raise the idea of whether he would give a buyer a better price, and encourage him to do so. I will write again more fully to you if the occasion is granted and about everything."
