Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-Lettre du 12 octobre 1731 (de Palermo): [ [A long letter in a far from easy script]. ] He is delighted at O’s. safe return but still more in expectation of his account of his journey in Sicily. He only wishes he had been able to show him more of the recondite objects of interest. He possesses some inscriptions that have been discovered to be added to Gualterius’ work, and Marquesius has an icon from the temple of Egesta; I will ask him to send you examples of his coins; I will send Gualterius’ book; and he mentions other collections of coins, and his possession of other works, e.g., Peter Ranzanus’ on the Origin of Palermo. ...
