Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'To Supply the defect of our Library here & at ye same time to Assist my own Ignorance I begged you to send me by the first Opportunity Montfaucon’s Palaiographia Graeca & to honor me wth Hayms Tesoro Britannico, making me a Subscriber to ye Work if not too late. ... Here wth is a Catalogue of a few Silver medals wch I have sent to my Sister, as I had not leisure to draw one out in terms of Medalry, in wch I am less than a Novice. ... Tis grown difficult to find Medals now. Our Consul lays hold of all He can find. The Fr[ench]: C[onsul]: gives treble yir value rather than let ym pass. The D[utch]: Consuls Son spares no price for ym, & the Dutch Minister is as fond of them as any, so yt I have not so much as begun to make a Collection.' (London, Royal Society MS 256/603; Burnett 2020b, p. 569)
