Lettre du 17 décembre 1686 (de Padoue) : he wrote to him that a denarius of Didia Clara with the inscription HILARITAS TEMPORVM (fig. 5) was worth no more than fifteen ducats; Charles Patin judged coins which Averoldi thought of buying as counterfeit, for example a bronze Ottonian coin (Padova, Museo Bottacin, MB 855, c. [76] ; voir Callegari 2020).
