Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-Letter of 17 July 1790 (from Paris): "Multum negotii mihi facesserem, vir eximie, si operis tui De epochis Syromacedonum praestantiam per artes distribui extollere ex dignitate contenderem. Sicut enim in singulis libri tui paginis vapulat ad te Harduinus, sic in singulis ejusdem paginis a me laudandus veniret: ad quo non suppeteret una et simplex epistola, libris integris opus foret. [...] Optime conjeci in nummo nostro Pantheo te fore Oedipum, qui aenygma aperires circa litteram L nummus graecis appositam. Evidenter enim demonstras adversus Sclaigerum annum designare ex nummis Tiberiados" (Pélissier 1903, Lettre X, p. 201-204)
