An unpublished manuscript, today in the American Numismatic Society, New York, is entitled Conjectures upon the British & Saxon Coins &c., Anno D. MMDCCXX.238 It consists of 136 pages, with 42 manuscript pages, 38 pages of descriptive text and 31 hand-drawn pages illustrating coins and medals, some coloured by hand. It is a sort of illustrated catalogue of rulers of Britain, running from Commius via the Anglo-Saxon and post- Conquest periods to ‘our Present and Most Gracious Sovereign Lord King George [I].’ (Burnett 2020b, p. 911)
