-Lettre du 8 mai 1691 (de Florence) : « at velint, nolint scriptis allocutus sum P. Garnerium, ac proxime P. Harduinum ambos Geographos & alterum etiam Chronologum. at qui mihi materien suppeditarunt viri clarissimi Toinardus ic Vaillantius, illi poenas in tempore dabunt. […] Misit Cl.Vaillantius typum nummi Diadumeniani scalptum ab Arethusis cum epigraphe APEΘOΥCATΩN cujus tamen symbolicam figuram non recte ai quor quidnam sit. rogo ab eodem vel ab alio eamdem mihi expositam significes Suspicor nostrum Toinardum chiragra laborare, nullas enimi ab codem litteras jam diu accipio, qui tamen tot meantea litteris beabat. Nihil enim extundere potui, quod in appendicem mei Voluminis conferet. […] Dominus Scheltrat Vaticana Bibliopolae praefectus, prioris tomi Antiquitatis illustrata editionem poene absolvit, in cuius appendice nummos Presidum Syrie a me publicatos iterum exhibebit, aitque tres nuper Silani numnos ex Syria in urbem allatos, sed epocham silet.
