-Lettre du 9 fév. 1656 : rend compte de ses entrevues avec la reine Christine : « cogl’inferiori è assai cortese e domestica, io ho conversato con lei tre gironate, mi honoro di farmi chiamare per un giorno nella Bibliotheca Vaticana, cosi me intimo per un’altra giornata (che furono poi due) per veder la libraria, le medaglie et altre antichità di casa Farnese assieme con mons. Holstenio, discorre fondatamente di tutte le scienze, possiede perfettamente la lingua greca, è ammirabile nell’Historie, che percio fa vergognare quegli huomini che trattano con lei e ne san poco. Impara con gusto grande le regole e manière da distinguere e cognoscere le medaglie antiche dalle moderne, o falsificate, et a sentire la loro spiegatione, havendone lei grandissima quantità in Bruxelles (che sono tutte quelle che il Re suo padre trovo nella città che saccheggio della Germania) e delle quali ne ha molta prattica.
