Lettre du 18 juin 1667 (de Rome): "Dal signor Monanni ho riceuto l'intiero per le medaglie mandate a Vostra Altezza Serenissima, avendo sentito con molto gusto che per la loro bellezza siano state da Vostra Altezza gradite, ancor che la magior parte di esse Vostra Altezza già le avesse e perché il padrone di quelle ne ha un'altra quantità di rame grandi e mezzane, e se ben dice non volerle lasciar sfiorare, ad ogni modo sono certo che Vostra Altezza ne potria escluder molte, che così stimarei meglio quando si possa fare, acciò Vostra Altezza non si caricasse di tante duplicate, che però se Vostra Altezza così comandarà, gli ne farò fare una lista et inviarò prima di mandar le medaglie e già che esso per un mese le deve trattenere, starò fra tanto attendendo li suoi comandamenti, mentre senza più a Vostra Altezza Serenissima profondamente m'inchino.
