-Lettre du 4 octobre 1738 (de Rome): “Farò retirare da q.o Procaccio sabato venturo ciò che m’accenna colle med. del Vitellio per restituirla a chi me la fidò, come anche dell’ult.a scatola un Quinario d’argento di Probo, da me non più osservato, e che mandai col fine di vedersi dal sud.o S.r Frederich, da cui ricevendo altro col suo commodo me li mandarà. Stimo benis.o la dedica accennatami per esserne meritevole, né in questo tempo trovasi in Londra maggior curioso di esso, come vedrà con’un poco di tempo per esservi unito il modo di spendere; Onde son sicuro che ne farà dovuta rimostranza; Se egli farà intagliare alcune delle sue rarità, gli ricordi mandarmene una stampa. Quanto prima riceverà la descrizzione delle medaglie dove vi unirò un fuso d’ivorio, dico fuso da filare trovato verso la Fratta di Perugia, e un piccolo amuleto in metallo”.
