-Lettre sans date suivant celle du même datée du 9 mai 1708 (de Deventer) : [sur le nouveau commerce littéraire que Cuper entretient avec l’Abbé Bignon] « je ne touche pas à quelques médailles ou à quelqes passages des anciens auteurs ; mais ce n’est qu’un narré des diverses particularités, dont peut-être M. Bignon n’est pas informé. Sa réponse me servira de guide, et je me réglerai sur la matière et sur les sujets de notre correspondance selon ce qu’il trouvera bon ; et vous savez qu’il m’est tout un de raisonner sur quelque point de littérature, ou de mander ce qui se passe parmi le monde savant, tant dans la Hollande qu’ailleurs, où j’ai établi mes correspondants » [nouvelles remarques sur les lettres S.C. et EX.
