-Letter of 14 Febr. 1705 (from Deventer): "Egi eodem tempore de nummo Arabico vel Copto, sed oblitus fui mittere illius ectypum ; quam culpam ut emendem, ecce tibi non modo illum, verum etiam variorum nummorum alios, quas (sic) in Hispania conquisivit Jacobus de Bary, de cujus gazophilacio proximis litteris tecum egi. Utinam, utinam veterum Orienlalium linguarum gnari illos nummos explicare possent! rogo vehementem in modum, ut te ipsum aliosque in consilium adhibere velis, uti ita aliqua saltem lux hisce prisci aevi relliquiis accendi possit."; "sed non capio quid sibi primus et alii velint nummi, nisi quod quartes absque dubio signatus sit a Catanensibus; in 2 videatur caput Jovis : in 3 caput nescio cujus barbatum, caduceus, apex vel tintinnabulum in medio coronae, et in 7 caput Palladis.
