Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'Tuesday 27th. ... I must carry you about two miles out of the town, by the same side on which I entered it, to the castle Amras, where the archduke Ferdinand, who lived in 1526, made a great and magnificent collection of various kinds of curiosities, which has been since much augmented by his successors. ... In the sixth [room] are several fine cabinets ... The other cabinets are full of gold, silver, and copper medals, Greek, Roman, and modern; and besides these there are seven great volumes, covered with black velvet, and having silver clasps, whose leaves are wood, in which are cut round holes that contain a complete series in silver.' (Bingley 1805, vol. 3, pp. 252-70; Burnett 2020b, p. 1055 n. 416)
