Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'... amongst the Printed books [in the library of Simonds D'Ewes], there is a very good collection of those that treat of coins, either Antient or Modern, of the several present Countreys of Europe, as well as of the Greek & Roman. ... Here was also a very Numerous Collection of Coins, of all sorts. This ha’s been likewise grievously plunder’d. But what it was, appears by a Catalogue of them, which I found by chance in the Library. There are some remaining, but they were lent to Dr Hutchinson when I was there, so that I did not see them.' (Wanley 1989, pp. 228-32, letter 103; Burnett 2020b, p. 525)
