Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

Lettre du 3 juillet 1733 (d’Amsterdam): References a propos the miscellanea, e.g., Waesbergius on the business of printing; sales not decreasing; Apostolus Zeno writing from Venice expresses approval but says they appeal only to literary men ; Wasse praises B’s. contribution but says the booksellers are attending much more to satire and politics than learned works ; he promises to contribute observations. It hardly seems likely that Jortin, the English editor, can have received the Misc. Wassius asks the value of Saumaise MS. commentary, in the Leyden library, on coins. Arenzenius, rector of Nimvegen, is here. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS D’Orville 500, f° 37-38).
