Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

EMLO: "[ [N. B. copy by an amanuensis his hands being rheumatic] ]His indispositions have delayed, but not for good, his life of Saumaise. A 2nd edition of his notes on "de Natura Deorum" and on book 1 of the Tusculans will soon be started at Paris. No answer yet to his enquiry as to the availability for purchase of the late Vaillant's works. He mentions Duckerus' Florus and Oudendorp's "Julian Obsequems" the books he is curious to have; as also Velleius Paterculus with N. Heinsius' last notes. He wishes Burmann would now give up the Virgil so long expected from N. Heinsius. He would be glad to contribute towards Wesselingius' edition of Antonine's journey, but has little to offer. He confirms the report about certain local officials (promotions and in embarrassed condition). Apropos of a conjecture on the 5th eclogue of Virgil he says he would enjoy diverting O. with further observations of the sort."
