Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-Letter of 12 December 1794 (from Erfurt?): While he did not explicitly mention Linnaeus in this passage, a letter written to Sestini by Johann Christoph Rasche (1733–1805) on 12 December 1794 contains a reference to a numismatic book that Sestini was planning to publish “ad modum Linnei”: hence, we can be sure that Sestini had previously referred to Linnaeus in their correspondence. “De numismatico TUO ad modum Linnei edendo libro” (Florence, Galleria degli Uffizi (Biblioteca, MS 64/III/64, f. 656v; Woytek 2022c, p. 647, note 54)
