Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-Lettre du 21 mars 1774 (de Lapal House, West Midlands): He remarks that he would not like to deprive N’s collection of any English coins, but would be grateful if he would secure for him any Greek or Roman silver or copper coins, especially Roman. «As you make English coins your principal study, you do right to collect every coin and medal which may illustrate the authentic English history». He appends a list of the Roman emperors whose coins in silver are to be met with. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Eng. misc. d. 146, f° 17).
