Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-Lettre du 31 mars 1774 (de Lapal House, West Midlands): He is glad the catalogue of Dr. Mead’s coins gave N. such satisfaction. He has acquired Stow’s chronicle. He holds Wedgwood and Bentley to be the best makers of basalts. A person at Coventry takes impressions in sulphur from medals, one of them taken from Sir Roger Newdigate’s collections. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Eng. misc. d. 146, f° 18).
