-Lettre du 8 juin 1765 (de Vienne) : « (f° 40r) Initio demum Maii aureolos illos tuos postremos tomos accepi, plenam liberalitati tuae debitam gratiarum actionem hucusque distuli, dum nempe ambos pervoluissem, etboni superi ! qua animi voluptate, quibus eruditionis meae incrementis ? ut adeo duplice titulo le tibi semper obstrictissimum sim professurus scilicet ob donum tam magnificum, atque simul tam utile. Gratulor tibi eruditissime Pellerini de luce, quam perpetuo tuo in Vaillantium commentario, idque pluribus locis rei nummaria adfudisti ; quam ad vivum nese cuilti omnia, qua ad titulum perinent : liberasti me errore, in quo obnimiam erga majores atque Vaillantium reverentiam, atque coecum quoddam obsequium versabar, omitto conplura alia, id mihi sane jucundissimum erat de Froelichii mei consilium perituis inplevisse, qui identidem cupiebat, ut res numaria istius modi catalogis potissimum juvaretur. Finirem iam hic epistolam, nisi tibi significandum me ad tuam opinionem de Argo Amphilochico, utin postremis tuis literis indicasti, lubenter adcedere, sed quid illud, quod in iisdem petis, lapsus tuos in his commentariss admissos ut notarem ? an tibi morem geram ? dum modestiam tuam admirror, id habe, unicum me observasse T. I, pag. 132, numum(f° 40v) Alexandri T. III N. 12 cum lupo ceae attribui non posse, satis ex mea adpendicula intellexeris, Argos illum nemoverem potius, cur enim, si in Cycladum aliqua Attiva vicina, ut existimavisti, numus signari potuit, cur inquam id haud procul distanti Argolidi negaretur ? Alia iam subjungam, in quibus aut tibi non omnino consentio, aut dubia mea a te dissolvi peto. T. I, pag. 151 et 152 anlitraris, Sassanidas offendendos nomine Arsacis, item solo nomine regis. Ego contra » (f° 40v) » (BnF, Fonds français, n. acq. 1074, f° 40-41; Callataÿ 2022, p. 484, note 20).
