-Letter of 5 Aug. 1649 (from Leiden to Deventer): "Sic ab altero Neapolitano nummos veteres & libros, qui sexcentis circiter florenis constiterunt, quosque toto biennio jam domi suae servat, nullis precibus extorquere possum." (Similarly, I cannot extract from the other Neapolitan with any entreaties the old coins and books, which made up some 600 florins, and which he has kept for a whole two years in his house) (P.
