Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

A catalogue of the collection of a "Mr Bird", which includes 5 gold coins, mostly Roman (The other piece, ‘Caput Aaronis. Al. Tetrgrammata. majoris formae’, would not have been genuine, but presumably some sort of fake Jewish coin, as there are no authentic Jewish gold coins), 46 silver and 86 bronze, the latter a mixture of Greek and Roman. Some of the coins seem to have been acquired, and sent to Sherard (it seems to be the purchase referred to in Thomas Owen - William Sherard - 1714-06-08; the marks added by Sherard to the catalogue, and the note at the end, shows that he was interested only in 5 silver and 86 bronze coins. But, for all we know, he may have had to buy the whole lot). (Burnett 2020b, p. 619)
