-Lettre du 28 août 1692 (de Rotterdam) : « Il met la Cour de Brandebourg sur un bon pied, par rapport aux Belles-Lettres, aiant inspiré à Son Altesse Electorale le desir de rendre sa bibliotheque l’une des plus belles de l’Europe, et l’aiant déjà porté à établir une belle imprimerie à Berlin [44] ; dont les prémiers essais sont beaux. Vous les avez vus, sans doute.
