Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'The letter is prompted by the pleasure which Marsham’s book had given him, and Carcavi offers Marsham the help of the outstanding French royal collection to further his research. Carcavi begins on the topic of the neocorate, and also he asks Marsham for his help with the attribution of some coins of Philip and Valerian inscribed ΒΛΑΟΥΝΔΕΩΝ. He included an extended essay ‘Ad Dissertationem de Νεωκόροις’, covering three closely written pages, a sign of the considerable time he must have spent on it.
