Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'I do not doubt you have since recd mine, with a Catalogue enclosd of 147 medals more; as many as were Legible to me; tho’, not unlikely, many more may be so to you, & as valuable as any of the rest: so shall not trouble you wth the Contents of that Letter.
...
I cannot but be pleasd yt my Acct of the 50 medals was so full & Satisfactory; & I hope That of the others will prove as Agreeable. No. 22 ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΤΙΓΡΑΝΟΥΣ is a very legible medal, & entirely corresponds wth my Descriptn of It. Chillis [modern Kilis] is abt 9 hours from Alep, at the rate of 3 miles an hour, & lyes to the north; It is a large Village, but has no Antient name yt I can learn. I have endeavord very much to get a sight of several parcels of medals there, & at Antab [modern Gaziantep], 15 hours further & wthin 12 hours of Euphrates; its Antient name, Antiochia ad Tauru’ mont. But this I must despair of, wthout making a voyage thither myself, wch I am inclind to on a good opportunity, & do not intend to return re Infecta; so It may not be amiss to send me a bill in yr next, for such a sum as you think proper; & you may depend on my utmost Caution & fidelity for yr Service. '
