-Lettre du 30 otobre 1749 (de Vienne) : “Alcuni mesi sono il dotto e ragguardevole Padre Froelich mi consegnò sei piccole Tavole di rame, nelle quali sono intagliate varie medaglie antiche quali esso ha spiegate tempo fa in un operetta quale al presente si è resa assai rara, e che meriterebbe di nuovo gli applausi degli Amatori della venerabile Antichità. Imperocché avendo sentito questo Padre che voi siete disposto a procurarli questo avvantaggio, mi ha incaricato di farvele recapitare in mano, avendole detto io di consegnarle a persona che fra poco di [c. 205v] tempo doveva portarsi a Firenze, ma siccome questa Persona non è peranco partita di qui, il Sig.r Gervais Direttore de Giardini di S.M.I. m’ha assicurato che egli acquisterebbe con piacere questa commissione.” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 9, f° 205r-206r – online).
