Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'[In this letter], Camden explained to Stradling the meaning of the various titles used on coins of Valerian and Tetricus I and II, comparing them to those used on the Gordians. He added that he has now seen his first Marius, and expresses his surprise that Marius struck coins since he reigned only 3 days and no coin has been found for him in France or Italy. He speculated that Marius reigned in Britain, and compared the reverse legend Concordia Militum with that found on Severan coins.' (Burnett 2020b, p. 116)
