Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'I shoud be extream glad to serve you in any thing you shall me capable of, in these parts, wch woud in some measure excuse ye freedom I take in desiring you to procure for me what medals you can meet wth. Ye passion I have for them, has occasiond my being troublesome to persons of all nations, where I have had the least prospect of success. Syria is ye most fertile place of them, of any I know, & what is more considerable, those yt were coind there are generally of good use, especially in chronology, having ye dates of cities upon them. I have not yet met wth any of yr city, ye ancient Ptolemais, tho’ I have large parcells, from Mr Consul Carew, & ye Revd. Mr Owen.' (Royal Society, MS 256/742; Burnett 2020b, p. 13)
