-Lettre du 23 février 1747 (de Venise) : « La lettera di V.R. mi ha confermato nell’opinione da me sempre tenuta, che quanto più gli uomini di sapere e di probità sono ornati, tanto più sono ancora di umanità e di gentilezza forniti. Con mio sommo piacere ho inteso dalla medesima, che la raccolta di tutte le mie medaglie era stata visitata da lei, e considerata, e che l’aveva trovata tale, che poté meritare la sua approvazione; cosa da me sommamente desiderata, e dalla quale dipendeva tanto la soddisfazione del nobilissimo compratore per averne fatto l’acquisto, quanto la quiete dell’animo mio per non essermi ingannato nella stima ch’io ne faceva » (BmLFA, Ms. 1788, Lett. 1269, c. 493r).
