-Letter of 10 Sept. 1704 (from Deventer): "Elephas mens et Historia III Gordianorum aliaque nondum typis describuntur, et bibliopolae causantur clausa regna, bellumque quod magnis animorum motibus et consiliis tota fere geritur Europa. Ceteroquin illi absoluti sunt plane et in satis idoneam excreverunt molem cum haud poenitenda per annum perpetem factae sunt ad eos accessiones ; inter quas primum obtinent locum nummi varii Elephantis et Gordiano insignes et anekdotoi qui, nisi mihi imponit prava persuasio, magno erunt lucubrationihus meis ornamento."
