-Lettre du 2 juillet 1778 (de Rome) : "“Les huit exemplaires de votre ouvrage [i.e. Eckhel 1775], que j’ai trouvé aussi estimé ici qu’il est loué en Allemagne, sont encore chez moi, des arrangemens que nous avons à prendre avec l’Abbé Marini par rapport aux libraires d’ici les ont retenus dans mon cabinet."
