Lettre du 30 janvier 1779 (de Rome): "[...] Si è trovato un ripostino di medaglie tutte consolari, nella lista venuta di fuori e fatta male, non vi ho osservata alcuna famiglia rara: verranno tra pochi giorni e sott'occhio le osserverò; se in quest'ultimo genere o in altro, desidera qualche supplemento alle serie mancanti, vi vorrebbe una noticina. Si vorrebbe riordinare sul gusto di cotesto, il Museo della Regina di Svezia: io dubito che le colonie stiano unite alle medaglie delle città autonome, non alle imperiali, ma vorrei saperlo con certezza.
