-Lettre du 1 octobre 1560 (d’Este) : « Ha ricevuto tardi una lettera precedente dalla quale ha compreso che l'amico non aveva a sua volta ricevuta la sua nella quale lo ringraziava per il dono delle sfere di marmo [cfr. lett. del 10 giugno 1560]; perciò replica i ringraziamenti. Risponde anche alla domanda dell'amico sull'acquisto di medaglie e dice che ultimamente non se ne trovano di autentiche e interessanti perché in quel momento il mercato delle antichità è passato in Francia; informa però l'amico che ha comperato a Padova due bellissime medaglie di metallo giallo, l’una di Antonino Pio e l’altra di Augusto sedente, con la legenda DIVUS AUGUSTUS PATER.» (Vicenza, Biblioteca civica Bertoliana, Ms 277, f° 90r-91r; F.
