-Lettre du 9 juillet 1701 (d’Amsterdam): “I bought last weeke Du Cange’s Familiae Byzantinae;12 wch I design to bring over with me into England, ’tis a very learned book and I do not doubt but ’twill be of use to you. … I have made some small addition to my Collection of coines since I was with you of wch you \shall/ have an account when I am soe happy as to meet you. I have bin this [da]ys a looking over the collection of Min Heer Uilenbroek;13 he [is a ver]y curious man and has got a noble stock of Antiquiti[es … as ] this print of some of his coines that you may see 4 or 5 medalls wch hitherto have bin no where described. [enclosed with a printed page illustrating 10 Roman imperial coins, and signed in a cartouche ‘Ex Museo Gosuini Uilenbroek J: Goerce del: et Fecit’].
