-Lettre du 18 sept. 1714 (de Paris) : [médailles de l’empereur Hadrien publiées par le Journal de Trévoux] « Nous allons perdre à Paris Dom Anselme Banduri. Il est rappelé par le grand duc de Toscane, pour aller remplir la place de bibliothécaire, vacante par le décès du célèbre Magliabecchi, au mois de juillet dernier. Maisen partant le mois prochain, il donnera ordre pour continuer l’impression de son ouvrage, ou Catalogue des médailles tant grecques que latines, depuis Trajan Dèce, jusqu’à la fin du Bas Empire. Il était si bien accoutumé au séjour de Paris, depuis environ douze ans qu’il y est arrivé, qu’il n’en part qu’avec regret. Mais il ne peut pas se dispenser d’accepter l’emploi honorable auquel il est appelé par son bienfaiteur » (Abdel Halim, p. 673, n° CCCXXXII).
