Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
Lettre du 28 avril 1726 (): The transaction was completed on April 26 1726, when Maria Margaretha Sigler made out a receipt for the agreed 500 Franconian guilders and confirmed that the collection was sold in exactly the same condition as it was left to her by her late husband. Bockleth sent these two documents to Bessel and added a few lines in which he confirmed that all of Bessel’s instructions had been followed and that the collection would be sent to him as soon as possible. NB: The documents of Maria Margaretha Sigler were attached to this letter (Library of Göttweig Abbey Cod. 691 165r–170v; voir Mayer 2020).
