-Lettre du 30 mars 1748 (de Pesaro) : « Quanto alle votre due singolari monete ho memoria precisa di quella che mi mandò Iano Planco, sopra la quale io scrissi certa brevissima spiegazione, che mi richiese e forse era la più ragionevole di tutte le cognetture del suo possessore. Vedrò di ritrovarla e ve la manderò. [c. 303 r.] Posso però dirvi che quella che chiamate conchiglia è un aerostoglio di nave. Ci feci una breve cosa, ma siccome è un fatto di cinque o sei anni fa, non mi ricordo ora tutto il contenuto, ma per oggi a otto ve la manderò tal quale, dispiacendomi che in quest’angustia di tempo non posso darci le mani.
