Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
-Lettre du 7 avril 1729 (d’Amsterdam): He hopes soon for the good news that O. has recovered from his sharp stomach pains. Cortius has written mentioning his intention to be reconciled to Torrenius and Oudendorp, and I have had a letter from Bouhier. From Naples I learn of the discovery of many antiquities, among others a bronze sheet found at Stabiae, containing the formula of the state law and military discharge and many inscriptions and coins (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS D’Orville 490, f° 72-73).
