Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
-Lettre du 10 novembre 1773 (de Lapal House, West Midlands): All about various coins and medals, including criticism of the copper copies of the silver Dacier’s medals, and suggestions that he would be glad to have any spare duplicates, e.g. of his Roman medals, and for N. to value his old Roman copper coins. He mentions that he has sold 167 very perfect Greek coins. He illustrates the design on the reverse of his coin of Henry I, showing how it differs from that depicted in Vertue, who executed several plates of English coins for the Society of Antiquaries. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Eng. misc. d. 146, f° 4).
