-Lettre du 22 décembre 1731 (d’Avignon) : « Quant aux médailles que j’ai eu l’honneur de vous envoyer, comme elles ne m’appartiennent pas et que la personne qui me les a dressées est d’un rang à ne pouvoir lui faire la proposition de les rendre, il ne faut pas penser à cet expédient. S’il avait été praticable, et qu’on eut demandé de ces médailles un prix raisonnable, je les aurais achetées pour le père Senaud à qui je compte en procurer bientôt de belles, en grand bronze, qu’on m’a annoncées.
