-Lettre du 28 juin 1701 (d’Arnstadt) : « Je prends la liberté de vous envoyer un exemplaire de l’épître que j’ai fait imprimer, mais le misérable imprimeur d’ici a si mal fait son devoir, que je serai obligé de la faire rimprimer pour la seconde fois. Cependant on pourra voir mon intention, et le contenu, et je vous supplie de m’en écrire votre sentiment, comme aussi d’envoyer l’exemplaire, et la lettre pour son Excellence Monsieur de Spanheim, si vous en avez quelque occasion favorable pour cela, si non, il ne sera pas nécessaire, car je ne prétends aucunement que vous ayez quelque incommodité, et j’attends réponse, si vous pourriez envoyer quelques exemplaires en France.
