-Lettre du 14 avril 1680 (de Smyrne) : « J’ai vu ici de beaux médaillons et de belles médailles grecques et le plus beau médaillon qu’il y ait est de Commode ayant au revers une figure nue qui tient un arc dans un chariot tiré par deux griffons avec ces mots . Je vous prie d’en faire part à Mr Vaillant si l’occasion se présente de lui écrire.
