Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

-lettre du 7 août 1686 (d’Aix-en-Provence) : en latin He refers to several works e.g. NORIS' consular letter, to certain points $word$ which he mentions that he has already replied, and to FABRETTUS' work on Trajan's column, of which work he disputes certain dates and facts. … He is making an accurate survey of the consular fasti, in which he finds Dodwell's work helpful, and he proceeds to details on the emperors' consulates and the decennalia. He maintains incidentally that Nerva did not resign. He refers to NORIS' treatise on the Syro-Macedonian chronology, based on coinage, and a forthcoming attempt at the Onuphrian calendar. He has advised N, to have every recourse possible to the Royal Vienna Library. The expert advice of MORELL and de MOLINET should be asked on the genuineness of the coins. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Cherry 29 fols. 151-160).
