-Lettre du 8 octobre 1735 (de Florence) : « Anton Francesco Marmi avendo messo in miglior carattere, e ordine le due memorie di mano del Dati, e di Mons.re da Sommaia concernenti le Antichità Etrusche, e i disegni estratti dalle medesime; le manda all’Ecc.mo Sig.r Dottore, e Ab.e Anton Francesco Gori; acciocchè osservi se possono in alcuna maniera contribuire al suo Museo; e gli bacia divotam. le mani aggiungendo che prontam. gli farà restituzione dell’inviatogli libretto. [segue] [cc.54r-54v] Da ricordi di mano del S. Carlo Dati. Inscrizione creduta etrusca, scoperta in un masso a Tizzana luogo del S. Cammillo Capponi, datami disegnata dal Sen.re Alessandro Alamanni; singolare per essere affissa alla terra, la quale il Dori voleva fare intagliare nella Chimera che è in Palazzo Vecchio, in oggi in Galleria, vi è una voce, che è in una medaglia di Sicilia nel Golzio (Goltzius), ovvero nella Magna Grecia, credo sia in Caulonia. » (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, AX, f° 97r - online).
