Lettre du 9 février 1736 M. V. (1737) (de Venise): “I giorni passati mi è avvenuto di accrescere la mia serie di medaglie di bronzo nella 2° e 3° grandezza. Ne ho comprate cento per l’appunto quasi tutte greche di città, o imperatorie, fuori di alcune poche battute in qualche colonia con epigrafe latina. Ciò che mi rende caro un sì bell’acquisto, si è, che la maggior parte entra nella raccolta che prima era mancante” (Pesaro, BibOliFO, Ms. 344, vol. I, c. 103v; Tomassoni 2021).
