-Lettre du 4 juin 1708 (de Rovigo): “Il Sig. Conte Silvestri ha molto bene rappresentato a V.S. Illma e Rma le difficultà, che incontro nel cominciamento della mia novella applicazione allo studio delle medaglie ... alcune difficoltà di non poco conto: Ne aveva unito fortunatamente in pochi mesi di buone, per non dir ottime; ma a viva forza mi è convenuto privarmene, per non dovere pregiudicarmi nella grazia di qualche Cavaliere mio protettore, della qual per altro tengo al presente bisogno. Mi servirà questo di avviso a tenermi per l’avvenire più cauto e segreto nell’acquisto, che son per farne di altre, affinché non mi succeda un’egual disgrazia alla prima. (Zeno 1785, vol.
