9 Dec. 1651 (from Rome): “Ho trovato un Goltzio in 5 volumi, m è carissimo, chiedendone scudi 30, è nuovo sciolto. Il signor Olstenio dice che col tempo potrebbe capitare usato a miglior prezzo, ma intero l’ho per difficile. Ho trovato Antonio Agostino latino d’Anversa con gl’intalgi del Bieo, pur nuovo, e altri libretti più facili e di minor stima. L’Agostini volgare e ‘l Paruta ristampati non mancano. Ci sono anche l’Imagini illustri di Fulvio Orsino d’Anversa duplicate, libro singolare. E la Dattilioteca d’Abrahamo Gorleo piena di gioie antiche, pur singulare, ambedue le tali opere mi trovo avere in Firenze” (Florence, vol. III, f° 199-200; M.
