Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

Lettre du 18 avril 1686 (de Padoue) : In the spring of 1686, Patin tried to purchase three silver coins from Brambilla with the help of Averoldi, who had to pretend to buy them for himself: a denarius of Augustus with L. VINICIVS in exergue on the reverse (fig. 7), a drachm of Julia Domna with Mount Argaeus on the reverse (fig. 8) and another denarius with the heads of Caracalla and Severus or Geta (figg. 9-10). Patin wanted to pay two zecchini or eight ducati of lira for them, 6:16 each (Padova, Museo Bottacin, MB 855, c. [70] ; voir Callegari 2020).
