-Lettre du 7 avril 1627 (de Rome) : « Je me croyais tant faire auprès des antiquaires qui sont à Rome que de tirer une copie de tous les tyrans qu’ils ont dans leurs cabinets comme désiré, ce que je n’au pu obtenir, sr. Ludovico Compagni étant malade un autre nommé Gotifredi (sic) étant hors de la ville, lequel m’a assuré en avoir six ou sept hors ceux que savez être ordinaires » (Tamizey de Larroque 1894, lettre XIII, p. 518-519 ; Molinari 2004, p. 122-3, note 8).
